12 Year Old Boy Killed On Pocket Bike

Author:Joe

A twelve year old boy was hit by a car while riding his pocket bike on the street where he lives. No information whether he was wearing a helmet was given, but let this serve as a reminder to everyone that you should always ride responsibly.

It isn’t wise to ride your pocket rocket on any street, as tempting as it may be. I know most of you do ride in the street, and that won’t change just by reading a post on the internet, but seriously consider the consequences of getting into a collission with car.

As for the parents of the boy, shame on them. I don’t know if they were watching hom or not, but it doesn’t matter. Police said neither excessive speed or alcohol was involved in the crash, therefore we have no choice but to assume the driver simply did not see the boy on his mini bike. The next car you pull out in front of may not see you either. Remember that.

thats stupid i do not believe thats true

  2. Joe Says:

What’s stupid about that? You think that every car is going to see a 23″ tall pocketbike with a 12 year old kid on them, riding in the middle of a public road where they’re not supposed to be?

  3. C Harri Says:

For anyone to pass judgement on such a tragedy is shameless. I see children riding bikes & skateboards every day in all areas, especially that age group (12) & do not see the parents standing there watching them. How can you put shame on these parents? As if they are not hurting enough. This was purely an accident, all involved are innocent victims. I would like to be able to say I am as perfect as YOU & could sit back and say people are stupid and should be shamed when accidents happen, but then again, thank the Lord I’m not perfect. I think it’s a shame this happened, however, you do not know the circumstances around the accident and should not point fingers at anyone of place blame on the machine he was riding.

    Pocket bikes rock

  6. L-Dawg Says:

This could have been avoided (parents watching or not) by simply purchasing a safety flag as the ones on bicycle carriers or hover-rounds it adds about 5 feet to your visibility and there is no mistaken that bright orange flag. These can be purchased at any Wal-Mart, K-Mart, or cycle shop. This doesnt replace knowledge and practice of safe riding but it does give the rider and others a better chance of avoiding mishaps.

God gave YOU a “brain” use it!! A motorbike has to BE ENGINEERED to properly fit a persons SIZE DUH!! Pocket bikes are is stupid as the people who ride them! “Oh–look at Me! I am riding a retardedly small bike! Hey, I will ride lawnmowers too! So funny! he he!” Stupid ignorant!

  10. Emily Says:

Well I’m trying to have him let me buy a pocket rocket and i htik this is fake. There should and shouldn’t put shame on the parents. Obviously the child must have begged and pleaded if this were true. the parents wouldve said yes and you HVE TO BE CAREFUL. But it is totally fake.

How dare you “shame” those parents publicly! They just lost their son, don’t you think that is enough hurt for one lifetime, without you adding insult to injury??? This is an unbelievable tragedy and I am so sad for this family. Judging them in this time of horrific grief is wrong.Shame on YOU!!
